16th Annual Trips for Kids Bike Swap Comes to Infineon Cougar Mountain Classic

Proceeds support mountain bike programs for underserved youth

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - June 1, 2007 - Trips for Kids today announced details of its 16th Annual Bike Swap scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 7-8, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. The ever- popular event will be part of the Infineon Cougar Mountain Classic - an annual festival of pro and amateur road and mountain bike racing, with a large sports expo and special events for the whole family.

Much anticipated by cycling enthusiast, bargain shoppers, and collectors, the Trips for Kids Swap and Sale features hundreds of donated new and used adult and kids bicycles, accessories, clothing, and novelty items.

"Each year individuals and companies within and outside the bicycle industry donate product to or participate in our annual fundraiser," said Trips for Kids' Director Marilyn Price. "We are delighted to offer cyclists one of our biggest swap meets ever."

There are several ways to support the Swap:
· Reserve a space to sell used and overstocked bikes and bike-related products
· Donate items for Trips for Kids to sell (tax deductible)
· Sponsor the Swap by simply making a financial contribution (tax deductible)

Proceeds from the Swap and Sale supports Trips for Kids cycling programs for underserved youth in the San Francisco Bay Area and across North America. The sale of donated merchandise covers sixty percent of Trips for Kids annual operating budget.

Admission to the Swap and the Cougar Mountain Classic is free; parking is $10 per vehicle. To reserve a space, make a donation, or for more information, please email info@tripsforkids.org, call (415) 458-2986, or visit www.tripsforkids.org.

For year round bargains, visit the Trips for Kids Re-Cyclery Bike Shop at 610 Fourth Street, San Rafael. The shop is open Tuesday through Friday 12:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Trips for Kids is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit based in San Rafael, California. Trips for Kids started in 1988 as a grass roots effort by avid mountain biker, environmentalist, and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductee, Marilyn Price.
