Big Agnes Rides Again

By BigAgnes on 10/12/2006 on BigAgnes's blog
A Canadian Bike Lover in the U.S. Army...who knew?

Here is my Blog.

Every day, or at least when I can, I will try to post an update to a daily peak into my life. I'm in the Army, and have been for about 17 years. I've been on two wheels for about 30 years.

These Posts will be about myself, my family, and the trials and tribulations of a man just trying to get another ride in. Thanks for checking it out.

Well I just got my first photo uploaded to the site...my now infamous tattoo. I got it to show off to the world the two things that truly define me...being Canadian, and biking. Now all I have to do is convince my wife to get one too.

Had a true first today. Went biking with my five year old son who this time, showed me a new route. It was great to have to follow HIM to some new singletrack. He is awesome. Well, that's it for today, and with that I will leave you all with a parting thought-

"What is the deal with Pandas? They're Black, they're white, they're black, they're white, they're black, they're white...they eat sticks for gods sake...who eats sticks?"

Sometimes we forget the simple joys of riding. We get so wrapped up in having the best of the best, that we forget why we ride.

Today, I installed a new kickstand on my sons bike. It wasn't much, just a cheap job that I picked up at the local shop, but when he got home, he went on and on to his mother about it. Now that's why we ride, for the joy of it. His smile said it all.

Now shut up and ride!
