"How do I know if you're a mountain biker?"

Ever talk to someone who goes on about this hard thing or that. Whatever it is, in the back of your mind, you're thinking, have you been on a mountain bike lately?Do you know how hard I work at this sport?Do you know the peril I put myself in?

I've kinda wondered what my fellow mountain bikers think when confronted with, let's say, a complainer. Someone who is a whiner! I go back in my mind and I think about last weekend. I was struggling to get up the hill. The downhill had a technical rock garden with a jump at the end. Then, I go back to my current situation and relax. This whiner/complainer's got nothing to talk about.

YO, mountain bikers! Are you tough as nails?

i did the ms ride this past weekend. granted it was a flat road ride, but to save face i rode my klein mtb. i had a friend ride with us. i offered him a pair of riding shorts, he declined. i opffered him a pair of gloves , he declined. i suggested he geta cheap pair of slicks from my shop, he declined. so about 3 mi. into the 30 his sack hurt, hands hurt and couldnt keep up ( even though i was coasting to try to let him )due to his nobbies. so at a rest stop he copped a set of tires from the lady. 70.00 tiogas, oh i forgot to mention he was on a 65lb roadmaster, why dont people just take your advice? its not like i dont ride five days a week after work but why would i know anything...
