This last weekend I did my first mtb race ever! I've done some adventure races, but never a "get on your bike and go it yourself on a mountain" race. It was a blast! It was the Fall Classic up at Big Bear (CA). Crashed once -- passing a guy on a fire road, he hit sand, and then hit me. Have my knee sealed shut with some steri-strips now, but still finished the race! I also ran into a bush coming out of a turn, but it was better than hitting the bolder near it! Beautiful weather, awesome people, great views (for the view I could actually see) and fun dirt to play in! Heh... even took 1st in my class (beg women 19-29).
