Project bike

Well, I made some serious project on my project bike.

Let me give some background information... I recently got married. As a wedding present, my wife and I both got new bikes. She is new to mountain biking but I have been doing it for years. I got an 06 Epic and she got an 06 FSR comp. But my old 03 Hardrock was feeling pretty neglected. It had a few problems... rear derailleur issues, crankarm loosening.. and others. So I decided to turn it into a single speed commuter

Ok, that's pretty good.

So, I bought a single speed hollow bottom bracket, a single speed conversion kit, a new stem, new flat bar, aero bar, and I had an old pair of Specialized Fat Boy slick tires I threw on.

I just got it finally pieced together and running. It's sweet!

It's not totally finished though. I still need to buy some panniers and maybe a new set of wheels. Also, the tires are totally bald (they came that way) but I kind of want some with a little tread to them.

I also only have one brake set up, the rear. It wasn't really on purpose, but it looks cool! I'm planning on repainting it as well. I know, I know... I just got it all put back together, but I would love to paint it white. Oh, and I need to get a new fork, preferably rigid.

I'll try and keep updating because I think that everyone should have a project bike! I learned a lot about bikes and repair! Let me know if you guys have a project bike!
