By walker on 6/3/2008 on walker's blog Well, well, well, look he decided to show up? I've been riding (and working) so much that I've neglected my blog duties. That's just got to change. Life is good folks, sorry for not showing my head around here lately. Here's a quick one to keep you entertained on a Tuesday: Buying a new bike is a lot like courting a new significant other. Sometimes you pick the right one and then they don't work out, immediately. That's kind of what happened to me. As for buying new bikes you'll want to: 1. Ride it 2. Ride it again, if the geometry is right 3. Talk to the previous owners (Ex's or shop owner) 4. Look closely through all the parts 5. Read the online reviews So, that's what I did. I followed all the steps then. Then, I bought a new bike. Then, the bike's fork malfunctioned. Then, I had to return it. Then, I'm wondering what went wrong? "I did all the 'right' things." I told myself. But myself answered, "Yes, you did, but you didn't bitch enough about having to return the fork and also, THESE THINGS HAPPEN!" I wouldn't say that I'm exactly happy about having to return the fork, but the bike was killer to ride for the five days that I had it. I'm psyched to have something bike between my legs in a few days or so. In the meantime, my bro fixed me up with a rental fork so I can huck tonight! Oh, what bike is it? Not telling just yet! I want to show her to you when she's all prettied up!
