By yourmtb on 7/6/2007 on yourmtb's blog Highlights from this week on YourMTB.com ... July 6, 2007HOT SHOTS: Featured photos from the YourMTB galleryWALKER'S WORLD: What's he saying?Walker's World, celebrating independence since 2006. A new birthday tradition? Walker wants to know what's up with the 4th of July and why so many MTBers feel compelled to hop on their saddle for a half-century ride to celebrate America's birthday. And speaking of things that make Walker go "hmmmmm," he poses this question to the YourMTB community: "who has the higher pain tolerance?" Downhillers and XC riders alike chimed in to answer. As the fireworks filled the night sky with blasts of color and light, Walker felt compelled to run down his grocery list of people to thank. Topping the list? trail crews, and of course, you. All this and more can be found in the blog where no one will get pardoned, not even a friend of President Walker, for revealing MTB secrets: As The Chainring Turns.
NOOBS: Who's new?(Psst! Post your profile pictures! We can't include you in Noobs if you don't have one.)
FLICK FINDS: Now Playing on YourMTB.com... Headlining our double feature this week is a tribute to Falls City, Oregon from YourMTBer cyklops. He found the perfect music to use as a backdrop - a song that captures the development of freeriding in Falls City, as well as the town's acceptance of it. Even better than the song, however, is the footage and editing. Grab your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy learning how the "happy people" live... From one style of video treatment, we move right on to the next in our second flick find of the week: szedhr's "Least Edited Video in all of Mountain Bikingdom." Appropriately named, his video takes a more straight forward, less interpretive view of mountain biking. It was filmed in Illinois last week with fellow YourMTBer FireMountainMan.
