By walker on 1/9/2008 on walker's blog Lung-busted, drooling, over-heated, burning-leg days be remembered as USA Cycling announces the 2008 racing cross country calendar. Welcoming eight new XC events and four UCI-sanctioned races, plus the championships, the calendar looks to tough, as usual! Beginning on March 15-16th in Keyesville Classic in Lake Isabella, California and ending seven months later, we can expect a full season of incredible stories, crashes and passionate strokes to the finish line. The Gravity calendar also opens with the Keyesville Classic in March. The season concludes with the Whiteface 3rd Annual 5K downhill in Wilmington, N.Y. on Aug 31st. With this many races, one can hope to witness the speed, agility and AIR of Gravity attendees. For those into the ultra-endurane thing, get ready for eight new races this year plus two championship events: the USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon in Breckenridge, CO and the USA Cycling 24-Hour Mountain Bike championship in Wausau, Wis. As for me, I'm into the XC races and the ultra-endurance stuff this year. No way I can attend them all, so I'll probably focus my attention on the Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah events. Looking forward to a better year than last! To view all the races, click on the following links:
