The 2007 Cowbell Challenge came and went...but one last competition still remained - the best photos, blogs and videos! Competitors and spectators shared their photos, stories and videos from the race here at the YourMTB.com Cowbell Challenge page, and to make things a bit more fun, with the help of South Park Cycles we held three contests for those that submitted their stuff. Without further ado, here are the winners! BEST PHOTO: The quality of the photos from the Cowbell was superb across the board. But eventually, one photo emerged as the best of the bunch: donwatts' mid-air shot "Yes you can get air in the low country!" Don scores a Medium Giro Animas helmet (value: $105) for the win. BEST STORY OR BLOG ENTRY: We had quite a few great story tellers covering the weekend -- but by far the most prolific and detailed reporter was spydersmom. Her blog was well written, insightful, entertaining, and even updated on race day. For such thorough reporting, she earns a Serfas Furano ti rail saddle (value: $100). BEST VIDEOS: Okay, video cameras are allowed inside the Cowbell Challenge, right? We just wanted to make sure, because we only got one video post! To put it mildly, the competition was slim. But, like Woody Allen says, "80 percent of success is showing up." And for doing just that, YourMTBer grillod85 gets an automatic win. He actually ended up making a really great flick, so we can award him the Serfas Stinger ti rail saddle (value: $80) in good conscience. BONUS RAFFLE: We also had a Serfas DD Vado saddle (value: $55); a Camelback Blue Wave hydration pack (value: $55); and a pair of Ryders Threat sunglasses (value: $50) from South Park Cycles to to raffle off to folks just for joining the group. The winners of the schwag, randomly selected, are PeterG, dirtdobber, and Jim K. Thanks to everyone who posted, and congrats to the winners! |
