10 reasons why I love my singlespeed...

I love my singlespeed 29'er and just thought a little overview of my love might be worthy!

1. It is black
2. It is hard to pedal
3. I feel like a champ on it
4. It doesn't hurt my back
5. I've never had to do any serious maintenance on it
6. Other people look at it
7. It serves as my communter bike, too
8. It is a singlespeed
9. It still works in the mud and I don't care if it gets dirty
10. I love it!

ditto. my ss has been out of comission for a few days for part replacement and ive been on my geared klein with a sus. fork. i saw a guy on my trails ridin rigid and single and it broke my heart, almost felt like i was cheating

thanks for the condolences, i just have to get a new bottom bracket. yeah i like rigid. just like ss, you dont have to antisipate gearing, with a rigid you dont have to account for the fork traveling. ive found that out the hard way ( my shins will verify )ive been ridin rigid all year and took out my klein and ive been beating the hell out of myself with the suspension fork, i guess im just used to instant response from the rigid
