YO WALKER WHAT'S UP !
I am actually from London , U.K. but for the past 16 years residing in valencia, Sunny SPAIN not sunny Cali, however there are similarities in abundance!

Here the surrounding mountain ranges are ideal for trekking with a serious bike ,hence the reason I splashed out on something decent, which is really what one has to do if you are seroius enough about your habit, cos the word hobby just doen't dot this desire for riding justice. You dig, RIGHT ! The weather here is just too hot during July & August so you have to go to the north of Spain to see some serious riding and the people here in Spain are really enthusiastic about their riding which for me is a blessing coming from London where the weather is better as it's always rainy and cold and muddy but the vibe is nowhere as hot for cycling as it is here in Spain. What's more, there are loads of clubs and groups which organise weekend treks and rides and also courses for the uninitiated who want to get into the groove !

Anyway, must dash , as we say in British English ! As the sun goes down here in Valencia one can go for a ride in the dried out river bed that this incredible city has . Anyone reading this : check out this city on the web and its surrounding villages . It's well worth a visit.Stay high up in the saddle now !

In response to your question Walker , I am unclear as to where Baja is. I am not sure what you mean by links to my fav ride ! Say more ! I am writin' from Spain,
not Cali unfortunately! What it like whare you ride ?
Any opinions on the new SPECIALIZED CARBON S-WORKS STUMPJUMPER FSR versus the almighty ( should i say that !? )TREK FUEL EX 9.5 ???
These two are serious looking beasts for next year I believe !
Over here in Europe we tend to look towards the U.S for the best mtb's,I seriously believe that the French have a weapon to unleash on the market next year or perhaps this, Anyone heard of LAPIERRE , well check out their SPICY 916 & ZESTY 914 !
I won't go into specs and all that 'cos they ain't paying me a cent ( European cents that is ! ) Not to loong from now I
Would seriously lke to trade in my 'old ' KTM PROWLER 1 in order to ease the cost of splashing out on one of these rivels for 2008. As you can see from my fotos, I have recently aquirred a Stumpjumper FSR Expert which shifts pretty fast but I am not satisfied yet ! I must add that I took a look at the IBIS mojo black, WHAT A MACHINE !!! Would anyone care to slander this beast with saying that a SANTA CRUZ NOMAD could kick up more dust downhill ??!!?? I await some crucial opinions !
