I'm rebuilding my 1999 cannondale f500 i'm changing the fork to 1 1/8, i'm looking for a good light xc fork with the same geometry, i'd like the fork to be 100mm, if anyone knows of a good fork let me know

Doesn't have to be a Lefty? I apologize, I'm not too caught up on all the Cannondale options. I have a skalpel and I love the Lefty. Maybe this advice will help???

Try a manitou minute! I absolutely love mine! If you look at the reviews on mtbr.com you'll see that it has consistantly been one of the best reviewed forks on the site.

If it hasn't had a lefty previously, you need to check with a bike mechanic because the Geometry / magic / voodoo that they use doesn't quite size up right. If you can (and can afford it) Cannondale and Fox came up with a carbon lefty with a hydraulic lock-out for the shock. Otherwise, the Fox vanilla is nice too.

Ride like you want it!
