New to the forum!

I am not exactly a resident of the Boulder area, although I have run the Bolder Boulder in the past and have been to Boulder in years gone by. My daughter and her family lived in Denver for about six years, so I was up that way quite a big. Now, they've moved to SC and there's not a lot of reason to battle the traffic to the Denver area anymore.

I currently live in Canon City, CO, and retired from 40 years as a court reporter about three years ago. I got into running for a while and ran about seven half-marathons. Before that I was an avid bike rider, road and mountain, for many, many years. I finally had a revelation that mountain biking is a lot harsher form of exercise physically and a lot more fun, so I'm going to try my best to build up my biking stamina. I have ridden so many places down in this end of the state in years gone by and there are some tremendous rides that maybe I could acquaint others in this group about if they ever get down this way. And especially when I saw that this was a "slower riders" group, I knew I was in the right place. I have never been extreme rider or particularly strong rider or interested in racing, but I sure enjoy rinding fun places to ride that don't require more pushing than pedaling. The harder uphill grinds I leave to my other love of hiking.

So here I am. I welcome the chance to be a part of this group and perhaps being of service to at least some of you.

Terry
