Tires

<em>Keplinger</em>'s picture

Hello:

I am starting to get my rig ready for riding (and hoping that the snow is gone for good this season). What kind of tires do you use out here? Back in Ottawa the terrain was a mix of dirt and Canadian Shield rock, so many of us were using Kenda Nevegal or Blue Groove tires with "Stick-ee" compound. I have been running 2.3" Nevegals, but I have a suspicion that I probably won't be encountering as much rock while riding in Edmonton. I am wondering what kind of tires people are using here and what kind of terrain I can expect to encounter in Terrwillegar?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Ryan

Terrwillegar will provide you with lots of dirt, gravel and roots.(no rock) If it is wet or raining - you get mud and sometimes lots of it depending on traffic on the trails. I have a fairly aggressive tred on my front tire and a semi slick/snakeskin on the rear. Works quite well, except when it is muddy.
