Tojo de Matic's first ride

The rain stopped for a few hours yesterday and I did my
best to hang on as my new Matic tackled Mt. Tam's east peak. Tojo ate up the
nasty route I laid down on the climb up and soared through stream after
stream on the way down!

I think this is a beginning of a good relationship!

I
need to make a few adjustments to the shifting and rebound and put on
some moto-style handlebars to push my body angle up a bit, but holy
smokes, Tojo is a rocket!

I remember riding a rigid Specialized Rock Hopper, jarring my brains out on Animas mountain in Durango and seeing Ned Overend fly by on his front suspension...man has this sport gotten a whole lot more comfortable and a hell of a lot faster!
