Year of my bikes

Hello, I have 3 bikes that were given to me, and the previous owner couldn't really tell me the year of my bikes.

First bike is Roadmaster Citybike, 10 spd, ser# C70218393.

2nd bike is Huffy Stalker LX, 18 spd, ser# 93371huffy26661.

3rd bike is Huffy Superia, 15 spd, ser# K6677--9928812H6652.

So can anyone tell me how you can identify the year of the bike manufacture in as I was told you can tell by serial #, is this true?

If so, please explain to me. Thanks!!

Am I missing something or have all the stickers and tees and stuff gone away? I don't have a gooey thing from here on my rear window now that I don't have my old company van....

I know, what a cheesy title for this! I'm tired, leave me alone.

I just want to know if anyone has had any really bad experiences with a bike shop, and what they were. Also, has anyone had a really good experience, and where?

For buying a bike or any kind of kit, I think a local bike shop is the way to go, but sometimes, it seems that they forget a little bit about customer service. Here are some of my experiences:

Costa Rica trail info needed

Anybody out there have any good trail recommendations in Costa Rica? I'm headed there for a month in May and would love to do a little riding. I'll be on the Nicoye Peninsula (west coast). There's a shop in Tamarindo with some trails, but that's about all I can find. Not much on the web other than tour operators. I'll probably have to go that route unless I can hook up with some locals in the know. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
