By Kallycat on 11/16/2007 I don't know why but early on in my new bike ownership my left foot was always slipping off the pedal and catapulting it around so it would destroy my shin when it came full circle. It really hurt, especially doing it a few times in one day. Pointy metal pedals don't help. |

Yeah, you'll keep getting these until you get clipless pedals... do it! You won't regret it! |

Yeah, or at least pick up a pair of shit guards. Those metal spiked pedals can be nasty. I had a pair of meat tenderizers before I went clipless, and tore then heck out of my calf when I slipped off and ran the pedal along the back of my leg. I agree, for XC or long enduro rides, clipless is the way to go. If you're dirt jumping, slopestyle, or DH, you may just want to wear pants or armour. I was going to make fun of you for shaving your legs, then I tought I would check and saw that you were a girl, so that's okay...not that men shaving their legs isn't okay...there are some fairly valid reasons for doing so, but I'm just not into that. Anyone else have opinions on men shaving their legs? |
