Durano Mountain Bike Championships

Danao City, which is known as the mountain bike capital of the Philippines, will be holding their 20th annual 1st Congressman Red Durano International Road and Mountain Bike Championships May 3 and 4. More than 600 riders from around the world will participate in the cross country and downhill mountain bike race. Among these will be the top riders in Southeast Asia, including Ali Usman, Marittes Bitbit, Joey Barba and Nono Surban.

Big prizes await the winners while raffle promos and freebees await observers.

The event will also be a venue for the sports’ national association to hold tryouts for those mountain bikers qualified to be part of the national team, aside from serving as a commemoration of the sport’s introduction to the Philippines.
