Willy Coyote, totally dunked

well... this is going to make you laugh.. at least it did me , even though it was cool out and i got mildly injured...

anyway... went riding in a new area the other day. Kinda a basic State park... mostly dirt roads. Got there and was warming up. A small group of people where getting ready and started chatting with them. One thing lead to another and they invited me to ride along with them. well I'm not MR Fit and they kinda where so going up a hill they totally smoked me. well got over the hill and I am Mr Crazy so heading down the other side I wizzed past them... crusing around a slight corner in the road I see a BIG mud puddle. well no time to stop so I slow as much as I can. slightly lift the front wheel to avoid totally splashing myself I start blazing through the water. Now you must understand that the road is very well groomed, crushed stone...so I was expecting under the water to be the same I was WRONG!!! under that water, it was like slippery swamp muck. As soon as the rear tire hit the slime It dragged my front end right down into the small lake.. yaa more like a lake than a puddle.. was well over my feet... and I was getting full face splashed, not going slow! well not really sure what happened next, or how it happened the bike went sidways... then hit something under the water that just bounced my tires up into the air... so here I am.. moving along... the bike and I are basicly horizontal I''m looking down and the water saying to myself "oh Crap, I'm getting really wet!" and the other riders come around the corner just in time to see me disappear into the rather large body of water..... I sorta hear gasps from them and yelling... "you OK?"

Well I stand up basicly fine other than a few scratches and a wounded pride... Look up stating that I'm fine and there is this lady falling off her bike laughing her butt off.... "that was the funniest damn thing I have even seen biking, you looked like a Willy Coyote cartoon " she sputters between heavy laughing and making hand jesters that look something like an airplane of my flying!!" which of course made us all burst into laughter... while here I am completely wet from head to toe. Boy was I cold then.

well it may not be as funny here in the telling... but it sure was at the time!!
