Saturday: Rain Rain Rain... after waiting an hour at the parking lot of Rabbit Valley (west of Fruita) waiting in the car (playing cards)... we took off for Moab... :) and rode Hidden Canyon and Bartlett via the Half Pipe

The mushroom at Bartlett Wash, Moab, UT

MOAB, yet again - I guess this place is as everyone describes.... I wish I was jumping off that but no, it was some very skilled dude doing that the day we were there. I think his name was "BOOM BOOM" from Boulder, CO.

Moab huck-fest

By Steve Outing on 11/6/2006
Moab huck-fest

This was a huck-fest that I happened upon last week at Moab's Bartlett Wash. Earlier I posted another photo, but thought I'd post this since it gives a better indication of what the scene looked like, and the run-out after the riders dropped off the Mushroom Rock cliff.

My first flush at Moab's Toilet Bowl

By Steve Outing on 10/30/2006 on Steve Outing's blog

A friend took this short video of my first-ever attempt at riding the "Toilet Bowl" near Moab, Utah. This is a cool and fun feature at Bartlett Wash -- a big cleavage-like depression in the slickrock (hence the feature's alternative nickname, "Dolly Parton") that's unnervingly steep, but rideable.

Down the Toilet Bowl

By Steve Outing on 10/30/2006
Down the Toilet Bowl

This guy had the right technique for getting down the "Toilet Bowl" (aka, "Dolly Parton") at Bartlett Wash, near Moab, Utah. He told me it took him 4 years of coming to Bartlett to get up the nerve to do it the first time.

The infamous Toilet Bowl (Moab)

The infamous Toilet Bowl (Moab)

This fun-looking feature is called the Toilet Bowl (and sometimes is called Dolly Parton, for its "cleavage" qualities) at Bartlett Wash near Moab, Utah. I experienced being flushed by this thing.
