Sore Knees after riding

<em>MikeG</em>'s picture
By MikeG on 2/14/2007

I've been riding in extreme cold weather (well below freezing) the last few times, and have noticed that my knees are sore, even after a short ride.

Does anybody else have experience with this? I am hoping that this is only a symptom of something I'm doing wrong, and not the state of health my knees are in.

I hope it's one of the following:
-not enough clothing
-improper bike setup
-simply too cold
-something else?

I really hope someone has an answer for me, because it would be tragic if I had to give MTB up!

EVOMO PRODUCTS

I JUST RECEIVED MY EVOMO, TEAM HURL JERSEY, AND MY YOURMTB.COM T-SHIRT, BOTH FROM EVOMO.

I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH BOTH PRODUCTS AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL. THE -T-SHIRT IS THE NICEST LOOKING, BEST MADE T-SHIRT I HAVE PURCHASED IN AWHILE, NOT TO MENTION IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE.

I RECOMMEND EVOMO PRODUCTS FOR OTHERS, NOT TO MENTION THEY SPONSOR THIS SITE.

The t-shirts are coming! The t-shirts are coming!

By Steve Outing on 10/26/2006 on Steve Outing's blog

I'm excited! We just got the design back for our first-ever YourMTB.com t-shirts. Rather than boring shirts with just our logo on it (well, we do think our logo is nice) and some pithy saying, these shirts will have an edgy look thanks to designer Bryan Thombs of Evomo, makers of fine and super cool mountain biking wear.

This rough proof will give you a rough idea of what they'll look like. I really like the neon green accents that Bryan put on the rider. This will be a striking shirt.

The shirts aren't for sale yet, but I wanted to let everyone know that they're coming soon. (We expect to get our shipment in late November.) We'll be selling the shirts through the website, and probably give some away as contest prizes.

We're posting this now to let you know that they're coming, and we'll make announcements when they're available to buy. Stay tuned.

Socks to impress your riding buddies

By Steve Outing on 9/30/2006
Socks to impress your riding buddies

At Interbike, the Sock Guy had these special edition socks made of gold-colored thread. Pretty darn fashionable! They were giving away pairs of these socks -- alas, they've run out by the time I got to the booth. I'm not sure if these will end up in stores; the rep admitted they hadn't tested them for durability. I should've asked if they smell better after a hard ride. 8^)
