Contest to win a Maverick Speedball

By Steve Outing on 4/18/2007 on Steve Outing's blog
Groups: Maverick
Speedball R adjustable seatpost from Maverick

I've been lusting after Maverick's "Speedball" adjustable seatpost. It's an expensive bike accessory, though, at $220 for the basic model (adjust seat height by using a lever underneath the front of the seat) and $250 for the "R" model with remote control on the handlebars.

Maverick is currently holding a contest where they're giving away a Speedball R (and a "Moderation" t-shirt). Go here to enter by telling a story of when you could have used a Speedball. They'll do a random drawing of entries sometime in May.

Product Review Winners Announced!

By Contests on 11/9/2006 in contests

Here at YourMTB.com we love to give stuff away. And apparently, you love getting it!

Last week we opened up a couple of raffles for you guys to enter. The premise: we give the randomly-drawn winners a product, and in exchange for keeping it, they post a review on YourMTB.com within 30 days. The folks over at PricePoint wanted feedback on two Sette products - their Type-H Lock On Grips, and their Kevlar/Neoprene Chainstay Protector - so they gave us 5 of each to pass on to our Official Reviewers.

October Member of the Month: DangerousProductions

By Contests on 11/2/2006 in contests

This month's winner comes from across the pond, and not a pond you can huck over, either. Congratulations to Britain's very own DangerousProductions (otherwise known as Dan), whose consistent postings to YourMTB.com in October have spanned the realm of all that is mountain biking: stories depicting racing for the first time, helpful tips on how to build jumps, pictures capturing exciting moments on the trail, and videos that had us itching to get out from behind the computers and on to our bikes. You can check out some of the insane videos and photos that he's shared in recent weeks here.

For his enthusiasm, he wins 200 bucks of cold, hard cash, er, sorry Dan, that's 105 cold, hard, proper, smart-sounding British pounds.

If you want a monetary giveaway of your own, show us your MTB adventures in videos, photos or words. Next month, we could be converting currency for YOU!
