By Futurepath on 12/23/2006 Myself (Dave Roberts) and friend John Casto rode what some might consider an epic ride. While many won't consider 4.5 hours epic, the climbs were long, some grueling, but ALL worth it. Meet the view from the Black Mountain trail in the great Pisgah National Forest, NC. We we're told there is a great view off this trail. Wow is all I could say when we reached it. In the picture, your looking at John's Rock to the left, and Looking Glass Rock to the right. You know when something makes you so happy or so excited you sometimes get that tingling feeling. Imagine feeling that forever. That's how awesome this special place is. |

Are "epics" part of your human experience?

By walker on 7/18/2006 on walker's blog Champions are easy to find these days! Especially with the media frenzy surrounding the NORBA championships in Sonoma, California. To me, reading reports about racers pushing themselves to the limit is inspiring. I guess it has something to do with the art of suffering, because I enjoy hearing stories from my friends who tell me about an epic ride they did. Maybe it is more to do with the story and how they tell it. Although, when I think of it, I want to go deeper into the psyche of it all. |
