Qball in the Fall

Here is a mosaic shot of me on riding my 29er. These shots were taken by my daughter, who was five years old at the time. I used a stitching program to piece them together.

vail back bowls in the fall

this shot was taken during an epic late-season ride up in Vail, CO. started in Vail Village, rode up the fireroads to the top of the mountain, rode grand traverse trail over to cougar ridge and down into Minturn...then back into Vail on the bike path. Highly recommended.

The Story

In Central Florida trying out the new helmet cam. I was already really dehyrdated from the Florida summer sun, and was feeling a little weak. So I headed up the roller coaster, one of my favorite trails. The drops are huge and the decline are fast. There was some soft sand on the top of a drop that sent me tumbeling down kind of putting me in a daze.

Lan in Flight

Lan in Flight

My brother Lan didn't quite make the drop as planned. My favorite thing about this photo is that no part of him or the bike is touching the ground.

The Story

Video was shot on a trail called Trouble on the Doumont Trail system in Nanaimo, BC - Canada. I was not going to attempt to jump the log at the bottom, just stop near it and walk over it with my bike. I failed to unclip from my pedals properly when I was stopping before the log and proceeded to fall over the log. Watch for flailing arms and legs. Video was shot with a helmet camera.
