My Back Scratch

My Back Scratch

On the local trail at home there is a cute little rail to ride.  I hadn't really ever tried it before and my balance was horrible and my front tire went off the rail right at the end so it caught the logs elevating the rail, stopped my bike, flipped me over the handlebars, flipping the bike with it and it landed on top of me scratching my back.  My first endo.

Arnica Montana, my friend

my bumped knee.... hairy aren't they?

Arnica has been a friend for a long time and I thought I'd share a bit why.

Usually i get help from 'it' when i am in trouble, like smashed into something :):(
Last weekend i needed some help again ... after doing an endo over a big rock where i couldn't extract my knee from the bike (stuck between handle bar and frame)... how the hell did i do that... following my friend Steve too close :(

Anyho, Arnica Montana is a more than a friend, it's extract from a plant. You can find this at Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage and any other store like that... it's been the best stuff to use for me over the years.... Arnica is not a brand but the kind of product (gel or pills). I recommend both....

Hey all,
For those of you who have seen my past posts you will have noticed that I haven’t posted for a while, I have good reason and this post should definitely make up for my lack of posting! *(this will be a long post but it should definitely be worth a read)

In December, I started work running a small bike shop so I hardly get a chance to ride, quite ironic really! However, a few weeks ago I got chatting to some local riders and mentioned the severe lack of downhill and mountains in general in this area. I used to be able to look out of my bedroom window and see a downhill course so I feel a little out of place here. Anyway, these guys mentioned a mountain that wasn’t too far away, I’d recently had all my bike upgraded to the 07 spec and was desperate to try out all the new stuff (Thanks to 24sevenbikes.com !).
