Just stiffening up this first Monday morning after my return from the National Championships at Mt. Snow. The mud has been cleaned from my legs, but bruises and scratches remain. I raced in the Beginner XC class on Saturday. Luckily some of the mud had dried up since I had ridden the course the day before. Unfortunately, this meant that we didn't have any laps cut. Two loops, maybe 1,000 feet of climbing per loop. It was hard for me to get to the top of the mountain on my slow pre-ride. I had no idea how I would make it to the top a second time.
