Night Train 2007, Chugga Chugga Chugga, Yep that was me, Team "My Little Pony Keg"!!!! i don't know what it is about Fontana Village and Bike events, but i have yet to have a Bad weekend there! This years Night Train was a great success, Great Race, Good Friends, Nice weather (a little Hot - nothing like 100+ temps in G'Vegas the last week), Trails were in awesome shape - bone dry, and fast as hell. Good time (Thanks Darrin+gang -you guys did a helluva job) thanks to Biowheels for bring the kegs! mucho appreciado!

Ride NC events for free: Correspondents needed for Fontana festival, race

Attention, North Carolina MTBers: Through a partnership with Rusty Sprocket Productions LLC, we've got room for YourMTB correspondents to cover the Fontana Fest mountain bike festival (July 20-22) and the Night Train 12-hour mountain bike race (August 11).

This is our usual deal: Agree to shoot some photos, maybe some video, and blog about the event, and you'll get in free.

We're seeking 2 correspondents for Fontana Fest and 2 for the Night Train.

Free racing in California and North Carolina

The Night Train: Post to Win Jansport Packs!

Rusty Sprocket Productions LLC and YourMTB.com are teaming up to host a Grassroots Channel for this year's Night Train 12 hour mountain bike race in Fontana Village Resort, North Carolina, on August 11.

What that means: Competitors, participants and spectators alike will use this site as a homebase from which to share their photos, stories and videos from the race.

Returning to Fontana Village Resort on August 11th, 2007 will be The Night Train 12-Hour Mountain Bike Event. The event will feature solo classes for both men and women as well as duos and four-person teams. In addition, there will be a six-hour solo option.

The event ends at 10:00 PM with a fantastic post-race awards celebration featuring live music, a full-course pasta dinner, and much, much more. Don't miss the resurrection of one of the best Western North Carolina endurance races ever.

Registration will be $45 per person regardless of class.
