Lake Redman

Loop
Description
Lake Redman has an abundance of trails for different levels of riders and 3 different loops make it easy to change your ride and distance. Loop 1 is the most technical, with a nasty uphill but a long descent along the lake makes it very worth the effort. Loop 4/2 is a bit easier, but pretty technical for southern PA. Loop 3 is the easiest and can be bypassed depending on where you start.

Big Bear Weekend Is Upon Us

The 24 Hours of Big Bear weekend is here, and as usual, I can't focus on a thing today. It turns out that the tireless efforts of a longtime 24 hour race teammate, I find myself riding with a team again this weekend. This year it will be Rides With Scissors - "defining a state of mind" according to the team captain (as opposed to Riding With Scissors, our previous team name, which defines and "action"). Nevertheless, I am ready to hit that sweet singletrack.

Another Journey to Big Bear

June has begun, signaling another year almost halfway spent and the irresistible pull of the mountains has me scurrying around looking to pull a team together by the end of the week. This year, however, things will be different for me up at the airstrip that is the 24 Hours of Big Bear venue. I have signed on to be a correspondent for yourMTB.com and Granny for this year's race. I'm stoked to have been chosen, and I'm looking forward to having the chance to share my take on the race with , well, anyone with the gumption to feast his or her eyes on the yourMTB.com blog.

Network
Description
There is a nice set of mainly unmarked singletrack loops, but are used by dirtbikers, so it can be rocky/rutty at times. There is also a nice network of hidden freeride trails here. Be careful, you can get lost easy, also homeless live in this park, do not disturb them. And a friend of mine spotted a bobcat.
