Specialized Hardrock SS Project Bike

Well, I made some serious project on my project bike.

Let me give some background information... I recently got married. As a wedding present, my wife and I both got new bikes. She is new to mountain biking but I have been doing it for years. I got an 06 Epic and she got an 06 FSR comp. But my old 03 Hardrock was feeling pretty neglected. It had a few problems... rear derailleur issues, crankarm loosening.. and others. So I decided to turn it into a single speed commuter

Ok, that's pretty good.

Qball and the Burley Trailer

It seems to me that there is a bigger SS community of riders that have 29ers. I got one last August and its a breath of fresh air. Riding rigid and SS on a 29er is zen like. My 29er is a Scott Quiring Qball, a semi-custom made steel frame from Michigan.

Single Guy with Single Speed

By EVOMO on 3/10/2007 on EVOMO's blog
Groups: Evomo

I know it has been a while since you last heard from me. I’m sorry about that my schedule has been real busy. Between drinking eating and lots of sex I have really had no time to my self to sit and write my blog. Just to clarify by sex I mean wacking off and lots of it. It’s really a good thing that I own a computer and can type because rite now I’m not sure I could write with a pencil. But in between all of these activities I still have found some time to ride.

I do love my single speed and though it has absolutely no suspension front or rear and it does make for a hard ride. What makes it really challenging is that I can not change gears no matter hard I try.

The Story

Ride with Ted in China Camp State park, in Marin County Calif. for some of the best single-track mountain biking in the area. The first video using the Canon PowerShot. Rode it, recorded VO, edited it, and posted it in a single day. All done on a Mac, of course.
