New (hidden) site feature: Bigger photos

By Steve Outing on 11/15/2006 on Steve Outing's blog

We've just added a new feature to YourMTB.com: larger versions of photos. It's kind of hidden, so here's the deal:

When you are on the page of a photo in the YourMTB.com Galleries, click on the photo and in many cases you'll see the original photo as submitted to the website. If the photo has a larger version available for viewing, your cursor arrow will turn into a hand -- which indicates that you can click the photo and something will happen.

When a photo is submitted to the site, we create a standard-size version of it so that it fits properly on a standard photo webpage. But we also keep the original photo on our server; now we allow you to see the original.

Keep in mind that some photos are small when they're submitted. For those, you won't be able to click to view a larger version because there isn't one.
