South Yuba Trail

The Story

South Yuba is one of the best trails in Northern California until the snow melts in the Sierra Nevada. A small group of us did a point to point ride starting up from highway 20 and dropping down through Omega Road to Washington and then onto the South Yuba all the way to Purdon Crossing. We wound up hiking through 18" snow drifts near the top and by the end of the day we got rained on but this was an incredible ride. Enjoy awesome views from 100 feet above the South Yuba River, the trail is not highly technical instead it is just super smooth buffed singletrack with incredible views. There were a ton of waterfalls, bridges, creek crossings and the singletrack seemed endless. This is not a huck video, it's just about the sheer joy of singletrack.
