Don't be lazy: Dial in your suspension
|
By Steve Outing on 10/1/2007 on Steve Outing's blog Yeah, I admit to being lazy when it comes to keeping my bike in tune -- specifically my suspension. Went on a ride the other afternoon and the bike (my Blur LT) felt like crap. I guess it had been a while since I tweaked the suspension settings, and it'd gotten far enough out of whack that I really noticed it. The next morning I spent some time with the bike and properly dialed in front and rear suspension, including adding a few pounds of air to the rear shock which had gotten too low. What a difference! |
Is 5 Inches The New 4 Inch

By walker on 9/26/2007 on walker's blog The fashion world is calling brown the new black. For fall, if you're not wearing brown, then you don't know what's going on. Could it be that Mountain Bikers also have a fashion sense; about suspension? |
Forks
![]() By justin on 4/21/2006 Hi Walker- I have been out of the suspension game for a long time, but I miss some of those rides that are only fun with a fork. So I may be in the market for one. Here's my spec: 1. Less than $400 Those are the things that matter to me. I don't care if the lockout is remote (prefer not, actually). I don't care how much it weighs. I don't care if it has 80 or 100mm of travel. I don't care if the travel is adjustable. I don't care what color it is. I don't care if it doesn't feel like I'm riding on a dream cloud made of whipped cream and foam rubber, as long as the fork is squishier than steel and tough as nails. |
