A 20 mile long,multi use trail converted from an abondoned railroad right-of-way runs just northwest of Weatherford to downtown Mineral Wells. Bring your bike,your horse, or your own hooves.

Named one of America's top 10 state parks,this park includes almost 5,000 acres of lakes,prairies and bottomland hardwood forrests. Thiry-four miles of multi-use trails,offer views of whitetail deer, alligator, and over 290 species of birds.

More than 50 miles of hiking,biking,and equestrian trails.

Part of the rails to trails program, Lost Creek is a 10 mile bike,hike,or equestrian trail with improved surface that passes through open prarie,along Lost Creek,and circles two reservoirs. Aday use trailhead provides restrooms,a picnick pavilion and tables, a swimming beach,and a fishing pier,all with convient parking. Best entrance is via Fort Richardson State Park,which also offers very nice camping areas for low rates.

The trailway crosses abondoned railroad trestles,goes thru Clarity Tunnel and takes hickers, bikers, and equestrians overland for 64 miles of natural beauty through these rolling plains.
