Tiger Mountain

Description
This Trail is not for the faint of heart. It starts off with a 3.5 mile hike straight up the mountain. Once there, you may want to take a break. This of course is followed by the payoff...3.5 miles of downhill (not too extreme) technical, sketchy singletrack. It is an awesome run, and well worth the burning thighs.

Description
This is an outstanding group of trails. Tight and twisty, with just the right bit of mud makes for a great day out. When you get to the Island, stop by the Vashon Bicycle shop and see Jerry. He will hook you up with the latest trail info, along with a great Mexican restaurant for lunch. The coffee shop in town isn't bad either. The trails are best rode in sunny conditions, but wet is fine too. Mind the horses...it's their trails too.

Description
These trails are about the most technical ones that I have ever done. They're twisty and turny, basically moving back unto themselves over miles and miles of singletrack...hence the names. They are technical though, with several roots (uphill and downhill), loose areas, obstacles and very little little guidance. Excellent trails though, just be prepared.

Description
Banner Woods is an awesome trail. It's not very technical, but the combination of miles and miles of options, coupled with single track that runs like a tunnel due to some serious overgrowth makes for a great experience. Twisty turns and tight corners round out this great weekend warrior paradise. For those less experienced riders, no fear, all trails are linked to a main dirt trail that leads right back to the parking area. You can ride until you bonk with no fear.

Hey there. Nice web site. Lots of good info. I've been mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest for the past 7 years. Nice to see that Walker has checked out my favorite trails (Galbraith Mtn) up in Bellingham.
