With the first 5 miles being mostly an uphill battle you truly do get to reap the reward of downhill bliss with this one. At almost 13 kilometers or roughly 8 miles it may not seem long but it is both a work out and a rush. i've riden other trails in lenght of up to 40k's and not felt as worn out as i do after this 13k's. The scenery is awesome and track is wild. the first 8 k's are mainly riden on forrest access roads which can be spongy after a good rain. although it doesnt sound so bad there are a couple discourageing areas of climb where you just pray that the top of the climb will come into sight. once finished with the climbing you have a wonderful opportunity to rest and gather strength for the down hill by climbing an 80 foot tall tower (the word TURM is german for tower hence the title of the trail) which is built on the highest peak of the park and enjoy the view of the surrounding landscape. Once rested you can then drop your seat post and get ready for some wicked rock gardens. there are opportunities for some decent air as well. the ladder half of the circut seems and is much shorter than the climb due to the almost straight line of travel and steepness of the grade back to the start point. It's fun challenging and a trail i wish i had more people to ride with on.
