Favorite Thing about Mountain Biking
I love that I have to focus on the trail rather than worrying about work, bills, or other assorted buzzkills.
Favorite MTB Destination
I would love to go back to Germany(Rheinland Pfalz area). It's pretty darn cool.
Where I've Been
My current bike has only been around here. My previous hardtails('95 Schwinn Moab/'95 Cannondale F700) were purchased when I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, where I started mountain biking in the first place. Biked, and raced, many places in Germany. Sadly, I've only ridden around here and NC(Pisgah/Dupont) as far as the states are concerned.
My Bikes
Kona Dawg Deluxe/Cannondale F400(SS work in progress)
Favorite Trail
Around here, Lock 4. It just flows really well, imo.
MTB Tip
Always look where you want to go, not where you don't want to go.
Favorite Memory
Barrelling down an unfamiliar hill in Bingerwald that suddenly made a 90 degree right hand turn along a gully. I still don't know how I made that turn with stock cantilever brakes, but I was told I looked like a pro doing it. Good thing they didn't see it from where I was sitting.
Special Skills
I can attract a huge number of spider webs....
Best MTB Joke
Me trying to remember that my SS is supposed to be Shimano-free. Heh.
