Favorite Trail
I'd have to say National trail on South Mtn here in Phx. It's a technical, rocky, and requires good skills to navigate. If I ever make it to Whistler I'm sure I'll be editing this section.
MTB Tip
Ride with people who are more skilled and in better shape than yourself and learn, learn, learn. I also like to practice my track stands when everybody stops to rest. Learning to do track stands and having the ability to turn in tight circles whether on a single or dual crown fork has greatly increased my balance for other aspects of riding. Practicing in soft dirt helps, keep pressure applied to the pedals, practice standing and seated and keep your brakes applied. Using a combination of the pedal pressure against the braking pressure will get you started.
Special Skills
I have the innate ability to hit a big jump and either not leave the ground or return to it way to quickly, cool huh?
