Favorite Thing about Mountain Biking
Just joined and off to my daily ride - this will have to wait ...
Where I've Been
All over Oregon and a little above Missoula MT. In Oregon: BEND (a lot!): I like the technical side of Phil's Trail; this would be COD, ELV, Grand Slam, VooDoo, Kent's Trail, and KGB. Swampy Lakes (kinda boring). Other places in Oregon: Knebal Springs Loop; Eightmile Creek; Scapoose, Browns Camp (Tillamook Forest), McKenzie River (a lot); North Umpqua Trail; Hagg Lake (boring); all around Oakridge, Oregon (Alpine, Larison Rock, etc.). In town riding: Leif Erikson (daily 19 mile training ride from my doorstep); Powell Butte every now and again (really short loop and I have to drive to it).
On this years lists are: Moab, Fruita, Vail, Whistler, Oakridge, McKenzie, North Umpqua, Siouxan Creek; Fifteen Mile Creek; Upper Black Butte Loop, Tumalo Falls, and more Bend. I want to explore more of Washington State riding as well.
Rides on the
My Bikes
My first bike: Haro Werks 3.0
My current bike: Haro Sonix VL120s - LOVE HER!
Favorite Trail
Hmmmmm ... so many trails and so little time. Right now I'm going to have to say The Alpine Trail in Oakridge, Oregon. 32 miles of sustained rocky, technical, butt over your back tire downhill. Singletrack all the way, baby. Need I say more?
MTB Tip
Uhhhh ... biker blow? No - j/k ... Wheelies - learn to do 'em - learn to love 'em.
Girl advice: Learn to stand up just a little on the bumpy - you'll thank me.
Favorite Memory
OK ... all of this is going to take a little time. Check back later ;-)
Best MTB Joke
So there's this biker, a lawyer, and a redneck ...
