I'm a national ranked Triathlete. Yeah, I know ... BOO, HISS. But too bad if you guys can't look past that. I am also in love with Cyclocross and Mountain Biking. Remember the main course isn't as good without something on the side. I spend 20-30 hours a week 9-10 months kickin my ass getting ready to race triathlon. During my early base building periods, fun rides with the girl I'm falling in love with and the off season I spend on my MTB and Cross Bike. It gives me a break from the seemingly endless miles of the road and opens my mind and heart to experience new thing. I often take my cross bike out on technical double track with some of the local MTB'ers and after some ribbing and teasing earn respect because I'm able to ride the trail better on my $900 cross bike than they can ride on there $4k mtb's bouncy bouncy's. But my favorite is steep down hills and muddy single track. Nothing rejuvenates the soul like picking your self out of the muddy snow or puddle. I love the outdoors and nature and wish I could spend more time away from the pavement.
