Thanks! I'm psyched to get down there this fall. At least that's my plan!

Yes, I do live in proximity to Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, and the Three Sisters Range. You can see them all from Portland. It takes me about an hour to drive to Mt. St. Helens. It is still smoldering. We got a bubble that "popped" about a year and a half ago. It was quite a little to-do around here. Oregon is a big old volcano/Mt. range, so I've learned that they are only "dormant" and most could regain life (like St Helens did) at about any time. The closest volcano is Mt. Hood and that's about 45 minutes away.

So you like-a-my-quote, eh? LOL! I love your site. Thank you for this awesome forum!! (and yes, I still think lava is fun to ride on - LOL)

Alien is a awesome trail. totally miss it out there. someday the winds will blow me back that direction. This is an awesome site. Thanks for maintaining for riders like me. BTW the stumpy kicks butt. I have an '05. It's flippin sweet

Walker,
new to the site. listener of your podcast for a while now. Was that the Alien trail in your video review of the '07 Stumpy? I used to live in Farmington. I absolutely love it out in that area.

Favorite Memory
My first ride in Durango, Colorado. I came from the plains of Oklahoma. The riding we did was mostly flat, so I was in for a climbing surprise when I first strapped my bike to my feet. It was incredible! I thought I was in some kind of shape, but I quickly found out that I had a long way to go. I almost fell over a couple of times trying to get up Telegraph Hill in the Telegraph Trail system of Durango. I ended up riding for only an hour, but I can remember how the smell of the air and the feeling the dust made on my legs when I first realized that I would have lots of riding days in Durango to look forward too.
Special Skills
I can track stand really well.

When is it ok to put your hands all over someone else's nipples? When you're airing up their tires
